Rashtriya Lok Dal
The Rashtriya Lok Dal was founded in 1996 by Ajit Singh, son of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, as a farmer-centric regional party rooted in western Uttar Pradesh's Jat community. It peaked at 5 Lok Sabha seats in 2009 but was reduced to zero seats in both 2014 and 2019 amid the BJP wave. After Ajit Singh's death in 2021, his son Jayant Chaudhary took over leadership, steering the party into the NDA alliance ahead of 2024 and reviving its Lok Sabha presence with 2 seats.
